Code Enforcement Officer
CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
The City of Holmes Beach is looking for a credentialed Code Enforcement Officer
to join the City team. The qualified candidate will be able to obtain level I
certification within 6 months. Preference may be given to those who hold
certification and experience in a municipality. The Code Enforcement Officer
works under the supervision of the Chief of Police for Holmes Beach.
The ideal candidate understands and equally enforces the ordinances and
municipal code of the City among the population; possesses excellent
communication skills; works equally as well in a proactive and reactive business
model; skillfully prepares citations and case material to be presented to the
Special Magistrate.
Mandatory skills include, but are not limited to:
Basic data entry skills
Excellent communication skills
Good people skills
The candidate must have a safe driving record and a valid Florida Driver’s License.
The candidate will be available on weekends, evenings and holidays.
The candidate must pass a background check.
