Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Are you a team player who enjoys supporting others as needed in a behind-the-scenes role to accomplish the goals of a growing financial institution? We are looking for a detail-oriented person who is comfortable working under time constraints in this position where duties include working on the reconcilement of cash drawers, correspondent accounts, official checks, and other internal accounts, as well as watching for and alerting your leaders to unusual or out of balance conditions on accounts. Our learning approach includes experiential, hands-on learning where you are able to work alongside your fellow team members to perform meaningful work.
What You’ll Do:
- The Daily Grind – Your primary focus is to support your direct team members, along with branch personnel, in the reconcilement of cash drawers, correspondent and other internal accounts, processing the mailing of customer communications, printing check cards, and escheating abandoned property held by the bank. Other duties include assisting the team in the documentation, standardization, and measurement of key business processes, and so much more.
- You’re Part of a Team – You are a member of the Deposit Services team which includes Item Processing, Document Scanning, Reconciliation and other Deposit Operations staff. This role offers amazing insight into the world of banking behind the scenes and our local operations.
- And you have to be able to juggle – Multiple and conflicting priorities will come up under specific time constraints. In concert with your leader and other team members, you have to be quick to act when issues arise.
What it Takes:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Skilled in: working with computers, mathematical skills, effective time management, and interpersonal relationships
- Ability to: communicate effectively (written and verbally), maintain confidentiality, work with speed and accuracy, grasp technical information quickly, and work independently and as a team member.
- Responsible for adhering to compliance laws, regulations, and established Bank policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering.
