Full-time Lead Evening Cook Kendal At Oberlin
Kendal at Oberlin has a full-time, 40-hours weekly, position available for a Lead Evening Cook to prepare delicious restaurant-quality entrees and side dishes for our Kendal residents. As Lead Cook, this position oversees the sanitation of food preparation, the dish room and dish room staff, storage areas and kitchen-closing tasks for completion and cleanliness.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of two years’ cooking experience in restaurant quantity cooking with strong culinary background. Current ServSafe certification is also required with the ability to read and write in English. Positive, friendly demeanor with a clear, professional communication style is required. Kendal works in teams and requires all staff to be helpful and supportive of each other.
Knowledgeable with production sheets, recipe books, and professional cookbooks. High School Diploma or GED is required. Must maintain a high standard of sanitation at all times with a neat, professional appearance and strong time-management abilities. Flexibility with weekly work schedule is expected.
