Dumas, Texas - Building Inspector Position
City of Dumas (population 14,691) is seeking applicants for a Building Inspector.
The City is a Home-Rule City (Commission/Manager Form of Government) with a budget of $15 million.
The Building Inspector’s responsibilities include ensuring compliance with the City’s adopted building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and zoning ordinances as well as other applicable state and federal codes and standards and litigation. The Building Inspector will perform field inspections and investigations, review construction plans and permits, and work directly with engineers, contractors, designers and citizens regarding codes and ordinances.
Candidates Minimum five (5) years of experience in building construction and inspection or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that would provide comparable level of knowledge.
