Position: Associate Provost for Academic Affairs

POSITION CONCEPT:

Reporting to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs will provide strategic leadership and oversight of academic programs, policies, services and initiatives. The position provides executive support to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs; working collaboratively with faculty, staff, administrators, and stakeholders to ensure efficient management of academic programs and services. Key areas of responsibilities include curriculum development and assessment, professional development for faculty and staff, academic partnerships, ensuring accreditation compliance, fostering inter-disciplinary collaboration and global engagement, development and administration of academic policies, and implementing initiatives to advance student success and retention. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in higher education administration, a commitment to diversity and inclusion, and excellent communication skills.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Oversee processes for curriculum development and assessment
  • Provide leadership for faculty engagement and professional development
  • Provide oversight for academic policy development and administration
  • Supervise the administration of special academic programs
  • Ensure efficient delivery of academic support services
  • Provide support for grant development and management
  • Oversee articulation agreements and academic partnerships

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years teaching experience in Higher Education
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience as a senior-level Administrator

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Dean, Assistant or Associate Provost
  • Terminal Degree

Starting Salary: $125,000 - $130,000
