Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Program Specialist in the Academic Affairs/Provost’s Office.
Primary Job Duties: Provide day-to-day coordination and administration assistance for the University’s faculty career support platform (Faculty Success) and procedures, to include but not limited to, annual evaluation, sabbatical, and promotion and tenure workflows and reporting. Support, configure and maintain the Watermark Faculty Success (formerly Digital Measures) program, as well as train academic administration and faculty to ensure effective use of the system. Serves as a liaison between the Academic Affairs and the school/college administration, and support staff and faculty.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. (Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience). One year of experience in administrative staff work. Skills with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) are required.
General knowledge of business English, spelling, and grammar. General knowledge of and skill in the use of word processing, database, spreadsheet, and other program applications and software to manage automated workflows, produce documents, and maintain information. Skill in performing basic mathematical computations. Ability to present statistical material in table, chart, or graph form. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks and assignments. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with tact and discretion. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to operate computers and other office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications: Administrative experience in an academic environment. ERP or other automated workflow program applications/software.
The position is a full-time, non-exempt State position with full benefits. Starting salary will be $18.81 per hour which is approximately $39,232.00 annually. After successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, there is a 2.5% pay increase for new hires or internal promotions.
