EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATOR
Richmond, VA
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking an Executive Administrator to provide complex, strategic executive level support to the Business Investment Division. This position will organize office operations, manage the workflow of division support staff, and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and prioritize workflow of business support staff
- Maintain administrative oversight for international offices including managing contracts and lease renewals
- Manage multiple office budgets totaling $1M+ annually by tracking and forecasting program expenses each month
- Performs research, edits, and prepares drafts of correspondence and presentations
- Identifies process improvements and implements changes, as necessary, to expedite workflow
- Coordinate staff onboarding by scheduling training meetings and ensuring staff have appropriate materials and equipment
- Assist Vice President and Assistant Vice President with committee meetings by taking notes, drafting official meeting minutes, managing logistics for meetings, and maintaining documents

- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism
- Exceptional grammar, punctuation, and proofreading skills
- Demonstrated experience exercising discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technology and acquire new skills
- Knowledge of the public service sector and state and local government desired
Experience:
- Experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Advanced PowerPoint
- Experience using Salesforce preferred
- Extensive administrative experience in an executive environment
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience
- Post-secondary education in business administration or a related field is preferred; college graduate a plus
