Senior Auditor, Internal Audit-Hybrid Work Arrangement
The Senior Auditor performs complex audits in assigned areas of the Health System under limited oversight of the audit leader, in accordance with audit programs to assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, business unit processes, and UH policies and procedures.
Essential Duties:
o Plans the daily activities in the performance of internal audits.
o Partner with management to review the process under audit in order to identify sound recommendations for improvement.
o Prepares clear, concise, and accurate work papers in a timely manner and according to departmental guidelines.
o Prepares written audit findings and recommendations in a logical, clear, and concise manner for discussion with management.
o Reviews management action plans and verifies that identified risks have been mitigated.
o Serve as team member and assist on UH initiatives, as needed.
o Participate in the annual risk assessment process in order to identify risks and potential audits for inclusion in the annual audit plan.
o Lead opening, closing, and ad-hoc presentations to management as needed.
o Work with department leadership to identify and implement improvements to Internal Audit core processes.

Education:
o A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. A major or concentration in business, information services/technology or computer science is preferred.
Required Credentials, License, and / or Certifications:
o Professional certification (CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, etc.) is preferred
Experience & Knowledge:
o 3-5 years’ work experience in audit or related field is preferred.
o Healthcare related experience is preferred.
o Knowledge of accounting concepts and applicable financial accounting requirements.
o Proven ability to deliver expected project outcomes in an accurate and timely manner.
o Proven experience working in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
o Proven experience breaking down large projects into smaller tasks and delegate accordingly.
Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge:
o Knowledge of internal audit concepts (e.g., risk and control identification and documentation, fraud risk assessments) is preferred.
o Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with all levels within the organization, is required.
o Attention to detail and ability to prioritize work is required.
o Ability to identify and influence process improvements with management.
o Experience using data analytical and sampling techniques is preferred (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI).
