Landscape Technician

Landscape Technician needed for Cammack Campus in Little Rock, AR.

The University of Arkansas System Cammack Campus in Little Rock, Arkansas is seeking a Landscape Technician to join our hardworking team. Work hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. The successful applicant will have the possibility of transferring to a permanent position with full benefits in the summer. Full benefits would include significant University tuition discount, Insurance, vacation and retirement.

Responsibilities:
Help maintain University grounds using commercial lawn equipment including mowers, weed trimmers, hedge trimmers, power washers and chain saws
Help maintain equipment and sprinkler systems
Setup table and chairs for all meetings and events in boardroom as well as move heavy furniture
Help with landscape installations, weed pulling and spraying
Campus recycling and trash pickup
Follow directions of supervisor, communicate with co-workers and wear proper PPE for job
Other duties as assigned

You’ll need:
A solid work ethic and good teamwork skills
High School diploma or the formal equivalent of a high school diploma
Valid Arkansas Driver’s License
Clean driving record
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to read and write records in mechanical log
Ability to routinely lift 80 lbs and perform manual labor
Love for outdoor work in all weather conditions
Mechanical aptitude
