2 Temp FT Beekeeper, Helper Positions. Work site(s): Transport provided, designated locale to job site; begin in Perkinston, Stone County, MS 39573 @ $11/hr. Continue into the county(is) of Stone, MS, Southeast Mississippi nonmetropolitan area. 10/15/17-7/15/18. Poss. duties: Workers will be performing many beekeeping tasks while on the job. During the fall months, they will be taking care of the bee hives as they return to MS for the winter months. This care including unloading trucks, grading hives, feeding hives, checking for disease and all over health, and moving the bees to winter locations. When weather is not conductive for working in the bee yards there is shop work to do in preparation for the spring. & other related Beekeeper, Helper activities per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org). Must be 18 due to equipment use. Must show proof of legal authority to work in U.S. Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload or carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. Must have 3 months verifiable Bee Keeping exp. No min. edu. reqmt. Applicants must be willing, qualified, to perform work described and available for entire period specified. Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Work may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/ refusal to abide = dismissal. $11.00/hr. Poss. daily/wily hrs.: 7A-4P. 35-40+ to include lunch break M-F. Poss. wknd/holiday work. OT avail, not reqd. Employer will comply w/all applicable federal, state & local laws pertaining to OT hrs. Transportation: Will provide/pay cost of work return transport, subsistence from worksite to place from which work departed to work for employer if work completes period of employment or dismissed from employment before end of work period above. Transportation and subsistence will be provided for cost from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment. The worker is guaranteed employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 12-week period.
